Saved Hans’ neck today. When I arrived at work he had been brooding over a problem for some time. The problem was actually escalated to us in early December; I guess now people lost their patience. Hans’ problem was that he didn’t know how to set up reverse DNS delegation for ip networks. Now, I haven’t done that myself in a long time (seven years or so) but I remembered enough to coach him through the process.

And I guess it must have been important for him; he thanked me like he never thanked me before. Including a handshake. I just hope I won’t hate myself within days for helping him out.
