Co-workers Gaby and Ingo are in my office, discussion access to a test system for a project. Gaby wants customers to access the system somehow, ideally via an “URL” or “Hostname”. Ingo insists that the easiest solution would be for all the testers to add some entry to their local hosts file.

This argument has been going on for about 15 minutes. I’m ready to yell at them. But I am not. Because I am a patient man, and because I really, really don’t want to get involved in their discussion one way or the other.
